Christmas time at Scribbles

We always look forward to Christmas time here at Scribbles, and even more so after the year we have all had!

This month we have packed in lots of festive activities, fun and games, and a nativity play. We started the month off with Elf Day, raising money for Alzheimer's Society. We managed to raise an amazing £162.50. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Last week the children participated in their very own nativity play. They all enjoyed singing Christmas songs and dressing up. They all did very well, we are extremely proud of them all!

The children have been busy creating Christmas decorations for their tree, making Christmas cards and calendars to take home to their families, baking cookies, and many other Christmas activities. This week the children enjoyed a Christmas lunch, which went down a treat, followed by a festive cake.

At Scribbles Day Nursery there are many things we can be positive about this year. In June we moved to a much larger premises and over the last few months have welcomed lots of new families to our Scribbles family.

Since August we have recruited 12 new staff members to our team. We have 4 apprentices that have completed their Level 2 in Childcare and are now moving on to their Level 3. Well done to them all!

Next year our Room Leaders will be completing a Room Leader/Supervisor qualification, and Charlotte our unit coordinator will be completing her Level 5 in Childcare. Kellie, our Admin Manager, is completing her Level 3 in Business and Administration and Tracy, our finance manager, and Lesley, owner, will be doing an OFSTED Outstanding Managers course.
