ELF DAY!!!
This week the children and staff at Scribbles have unleashed their inner elf and participated in Elf Day. We have been raising money for Alzheimer's' Society.
What is Elf Day
Elf Day is all about dressing up to raise money for people affected by dementia. This year has been anything but ordinary.
People with dementia need our support now more than ever. Families affected by dementia have been devastated by the coronavirus crisis - with 4 in 5 people's symptoms deteriorating from being cut off from loved ones and the support networks they rely on.
This year, Alzheimer's Society has drawn up a 4-point list of priorities to improve the lives of those affected by dementia:
Coronavirus support
Reform care system
Find a cure
Innovation
We hope that taking part in Elf Day will help them achieve this.
We have loved seeing the children come in dressed up as cheeky elves. They have all looked fantastic!
The children have been busy doing lots of Christmas activities. They have enjoyed colouring in Elf pictures, receiving a letter from Elf Bluebell, creating their own elves using their footprint.
We also had a very special visit from The Grinch.
A big thank you to everyone who has made a donation. So far we have raised an amazing £151.50. There is still time to donate via our Just Giving page. Please click on the link below if you would like to make a donation.
Thank you for your cooperation.
