Buttercups

Welcome to Buttercups, our room for children aged 4 months to 2 years. We provide a calm, nurturing and homely environment where children can feel safe, secure and confident to explore the world around them. Our home-from-home approach creates a warm and comforting environment, while offering plenty of opportunities for children to develop their physical skills through carefully managed indoor and outdoor play.

Children have access to a wide range of sensory and interactive resources, alongside messy and creative experiences that are thoughtfully planned around our bespoke ‘Joyful Learner’ curriculum. We provide a variety of experiences to support children's developing skills, including early manipulative play such as playdough, sand and other hands-on activities. These experiences encourage children to explore, investigate and develop their coordination, dexterity and independence through play.

Our children enjoy regular opportunities for both indoor and outdoor physical play, helping to develop their gross motor skills, confidence and imagination. Bluebells

Welcome to our Bluebells Room, which caters for children aged 2–3 years. This is an exciting stage of development, when children are discovering so many new skills and experiences. They are developing friendships, becoming increasingly independent, developing their communication and vocabulary, and beginning important milestones such as toilet training. We provide a wide range of fun and engaging experiences, with a particular focus on messy and sensory play, allowing children to learn through hands-on exploration and discovery.

Children have access to a variety of carefully selected toys, resources and open-ended learning opportunities, giving them the freedom to explore their own interests and develop their skills through play. Our built-in climbing frame provides exciting opportunities for children to develop their gross motor skills, balance, coordination and physical confidence, while also encouraging imaginative and exploratory play.

Throughout the room, we provide opportunities for children to develop their independence, communication, social skills and confidence, following their individual interests and developmental needs.

Peonies

Welcome to Peonies, our room for children aged 2½–3½ years. At this exciting stage, the adventure of learning is well underway! Children are becoming increasingly confident and independent, developing strong friendships, expressing their wants, needs and ideas, and mastering important milestones such as toileting independence.

Our Peonies room is all about learning through play, with children encouraged to make choices, follow their interests and explore their own ideas within a safe and supportive environment. Messy and sensory play are an important part of our provision, giving children opportunities to get hands-on, experiment, investigate and discover through meaningful experiences.

Children have access to a wide range of engaging resources and open-ended learning opportunities, allowing them to develop their creativity, imagination, problem-solving skills and independence. Our dedicated side garden also allows children to enjoy free-flow play between the indoors and outdoors, providing plenty of opportunities for physical development, exploration and imaginative play.

Sunflowers

Welcome to Sunflowers, our pre-school room for children aged 3–5 years. As children enter this final stage of their nursery journey, our focus is on helping them become confident, capable and ‘school ready’, while ensuring that learning remains fun, engaging and full of opportunities to explore. Children are encouraged to develop their independence and self-confidence through everyday experiences. From pouring their own water from a jug and clearing their plates after mealtimes, to making choices about their play and learning, we encourage children to take increasing responsibility for themselves and their environment.

Our provision offers a rich variety of age-appropriate learning experiences, allowing children to follow their interests, develop new skills and build confidence through play. We provide opportunities across all areas of development, with children encouraged to explore, investigate, problem-solve and express their ideas.

Physical development is also an important part of our day, with easy access to both fine and gross motor experiences. Children can develop their coordination and hand strength through activities such as cutting with scissors and manipulating playdough, while our built-in climbing frame and well-developed outdoor area provide exciting opportunities for climbing, balancing, running and physical exploration.

Purcell Room

Welcome to the Purcell Room. This room provides a calm and stimulating environment where children can take part in small-group learning experiences, giving them the opportunity to explore specific areas of learning in greater depth. We want learning to feel exciting, meaningful and enjoyable, rather than formal. Our experiences are designed to spark children's natural curiosity and encourage them to become active participants in their learning.

The Purcell Room also provides a calm and supportive space for children with additional needs, offering opportunities for one-to-one or small-group play and learning where children can receive more individualised support in an environment that feels comfortable and nurturin
