Enrolment Information

At Scribbles Day Nursery North Weald we strive to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for your child to learn and grow. Our admissions process is designed to ensure a smooth transition for your child into our nursery.

Enquiry Form

If you're not ready enrol your child right now but would like to express interest for the future, fill out our enquiry form above. We'll reach out to you soon to discuss the next steps. Your child's educational journey is important to us, and we're here to help!

Next Steps 

1.  Complete Enquiry Form

Complete the enquiry form using the link above. Fill in all the information on which sessions and days suit your needs alongside your child's details. This will be submitted to our occupancy team who will process your information and check availability on our system. 

2.  Book your personal tour

A member of the nursery team will contact you via email to book a a personal tour for you to attend the nursery. One of the managers will show you round and this will give us an opportunity to answer any questions that you may have.

3.  Securing a space

If you wish to secure a space for your child and availability is confirmed, you will be sent a parent agreement and registration form which needs to be completed. .The form must returned and the registration fee paid to secure your space.

​4.  Settling in sessions

Your child will be booked for 2 x one hour settle sessions where you will meet the room leader who will run through the routine of the room and answer any questions you may have while your child plays in the room. If you have not already done so you should complete the my world section on the EY parent app which gives us valuable information about your child.  Additional settling in sessions can be booked for an additional charge if required.

5.  What your child will need

Your child will be given a Scribbles rucksack which includes a polo top, sweatshirt and sun hat that they can use for nursery. 

Sleep aids - dummy, comforter, muslin, sleep bag

Spare clothes - including socks, vests, underwear

Appropriate clothing - hats, gloves, wellies, sun hat, sun cream.

Nappies and wipes are provided

Named labelled water bottle 

6.  Funding Eligibility

Using the best start in life link below check your eligibility. When you start at the nursery you will be asked to completed a funding form which needs to be rechecked and signed every term to confirm that there have been no changes to your eligibility or the hours you want to claim. The local authority have strict deadline dates so parents need to ensure they recheck when prompted to remain eligible.

Funding information

9 Month & 2 Year Funding 

From the term after your child turns 9 months  funding is available to working parents who meet the criteria. This also extends to the working parents of 2 year olds. 

3 & 4 Year Funding 

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours universal funding from the term after their 3rd birthday. The extended 15 hours are also available to parents of 3 and 4 year olds who meet the criteria.
