Current Vacancies
EY Practitioner / Room Leader (21, 30, or 40 hours) Year round position
Level 2 or above qualified
The following is a list of duties intended to indicate the range rather than set limits – they are not exhaustive.

Promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
-
Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of children.
-
Support the children’s development, learning and play.
-
Be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to EYFS.

Work with area SENCO, EYFS Advisors, health professionals and local sure start programmes as appropriate.
-
Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
-
Keep your key children’s development journals up to date.
-
Observe accurately the children’s progress.
-
Build positive relationships with your key child and their families, reporting feedback to them in a sensitive way.
-
Work well as part of a team.
-
Join in with planning your room, taking into consideration your child’s needs.

Continue with CPD training.

Read and be familiar with nurseries policies and procedures
Apprentice Practitioner (30,40 Hours) Year round position

To support qualified staff with daily routines in the nursery.

To learn the skills of an early years practitioner, working practically as part of a team.

To learn how to provide high quality childcare to our children.

To show commitment to achieving the apprenticeship in the agreed time frame.

Ensure health, safety and well-being of the children.
-
To ensure you attend all the training courses and staff meeting as required.
-
Demonstrate a proactive approach using your initiative and showing resilience to take responsibility in getting things done.

To learn, understand and implement the Scribbles Day Nursery policies and procedures within the nursery.

To understand the values and principles of the early years sector and implement in your daily routine with the children.
-
To contribute/complete children’s observations and records.
-
Ensure you work as part of a team towards a common goal sharing ideas and feedback to create consistency.

In house training and appropriate e learning courses.
